Our goal is to publish a limited number of titles annually. We aim to produce well-made books, with an eye to the aesthetics of design, giving each project the careful attention required to make the publishing experience rewarding for the writer and the students and book professionals engaged in the process.

Our Reading Style

Stillhouse Press is a student- and alumni-led teaching press, and as such our editorial interests change with our incoming staff. Always, however, we consistently seek work driven by a distinctive voice and built on a strong compositional foundation. We tend to enjoy works with a literary bent that push the boundaries of genre, of the familiar, of the traditional.
